Babar Azam is all set to captain the Pakistan Cricket Team in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 that is to take place in India. The batting sensation was appointed as the skipper for the T20I format last year after Sarfaraz Ahmed was sacked off from the leading of all formats. In the upcoming days, Babar was also chosen as the ODI skipper.
According to the reliable reports, his tenure has been extended as he was earlier signed for a year contract. It was decided that Babar’s services will be rendered till the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 that was to be played in Australia but canceled amidst the global pandemic, Coronavirus.

Notably, he has not captained the Men in Green in One-Day international format and the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe will be his first task as an ODI commander.
However, the official announcement is yet to be made and the news is likely to be out in a few days. Till then, Babar will be leading the side against Zimbabwe and New Zealand and South Africa might be on agenda too.
