Australia vs New Zealand: Australia continues to dominate on Day 3:
After losing 5 wickets for 109 runs at the end of Day 2, New Zealand collapsed on 166 runs against the Australia bowling attack. Ross Taylor and skipper Kane Williamson shared a 76 runs partnership to stabilize things for their team.
Kane Williamson played a steadfast inning of 34 runs from 70 deliveries before getting caught by Steven Smith on the second slip on Mitchell Starc’s delivery. Ross Taylor remained the top-scorer from his side after he scored 80 runs from 134 balls. Colin de Grandhomme also added 23 runs from 21 balls, while no other batsmen could even make it to the double digits, aside from these three.

Mitchell Starc claimed 5 wickets for the 13th time in Tests. Nathan Lyon secured 2, while Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, and Marnus Labuschagne took 1 wicket each.
New Zealand managed to get rid of David Warner on just 19 runs after he had faced 63 deliveries, but Joe Burns and Marnus Labuschagne took a stand of 87 runs to strengthen their position in the game further. Marnus Labuschagne scored 50 runs from 81 deliveries, while Joe Burns scored his 6th Test half-century.

After losing the pair, the wickets fell one after the other for Australia by the hands of the New Zealand bowlers.
Australia finished on 167/6 with a lead of 417 runs at the end of Day 3, with 2 days still remaining for the game. Tim Southee had a great time with the ball as he claimed 4 wickets for 63 runs in 19 overs. Neil Wagner also took 2 wickets for 40 runs in his 17 overs.
An excellent finish to the day for New Zealand as they take four wickets in the final 10 overs to leave Australia 167/6 at stumps.
