Pakistan Super League 2020:
Pakistan Super League 2020, the most-awaited franchise tournament in Pakistan is right around the corner. The entire fifth edition of PSL will be played inside Pakistan and fans will be able to see their favorite foreign and local players in action.
Team Composition of Pakistan Super League 2020:
The squad of each team will include 16 players at the PSL 2020. The squad must include 11 local players and 5 foreign players. Each franchise may also pick up to 2 additional supplementary players, including 1 foreign player.

The 16-men squad will consist of 3 Platinum, 3 Diamond, 3 Gold, 5 Silver, and 2 Emerging players. A team must include a minimum of 3 foreign players and a maximum of 4 in their playing XI.
The Drafting of Pakistan Super League 2020:
The draft is scheduled for December 6 and 7, 2019. Each franchise is allowed to retain, trade, or release players before 1st December 2019. The maximum number of players a team can retain is 8.

The first pick of the draft will go to Quetta Gladiators, who have been the most successful team of PSL. The second pick goes to Lahore Qalandars, followed by Multan Sultans, then Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi and then Karachi Kings.
All foreign and local players are divided into 4 categories: Platinum, Diamond, Gold, and Silver.
Platinum pool (Foreign):
The foreign player Platinum pool for the HBLPSL draft 2019 includes South African star bowler Dale Steyn, West Indies’ limited-over captain Kieron Pollard, South African leading T20I run-scorer JP Duminy, Nepal’s rising star Sandeep Lamichhane, Afghanistan’s top-ranked T20I bowler Rashid Khan, and many other star cricketers from around the world.

Gold pool (Foreign):
Over 140 cricketers from 14 countries around the world register in the Gold category for the HBLPSL. Scotland’s George Munsey, Sri Lanka’s Seekkuge Prasanna, England’s Dom Sibley, and Bangladesh’s Liton Das are also in this category.

Platinum pool (Local):
The Platinum pool of local players for the HBLPSL 2020 includes Babar Azam, Mohammad Irfan, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Aamir, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez, Imad Wasim, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Nawaz, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Kamran Akmal, Shadab Khan, Sohail Tanvir, Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Hasan Ali, and Sarfaraz Ahmed.
Diamond pool (Local):
The Diamond pool of local players for the HBLPSL 2020 includes Ahmed Shehzad, Yasir Shah, Mohammad Rizwan, Asif Ali, Usman Shinwari, Imam ul Haq, Umer Akmal, Iftekhar Ahmed, Junaid Khan, and Haris Sohail.
Gold pool (Local):
The Gold pool of local players include Aamir Yamin, Sohail Akhtar, Anwar Ali, Hussain Talat, Waqas Maqsood, Sohail Khan, Umer Amin, Mohammad Hasnain, Hammad Azam, Awais Zia, Sahibzada Farhan, Rahat Ali, Salman Butt,Aizaz Cheema, Saad Ali, Rumman Raees, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Sami, Shakeel Ansar, Zafar Gohar, Mohammad Abbas, Shan Masood. Emerging pool (Local):
All PSL teams are required to include at least 2 emerging players in their 16-men squad to promote young Pakistani talent. The list of all emerging players available for the draft is given below.
