It’s been rather surprising to see Northern Knights posting a poor performance in the tournament so far considering the players they have at their disposal. Not only have they lost both their matches, but their losses have also been one-sided and that is evident by their terrible net run-rate, which is -2.267.

In both the matches that the Knights have lost, there was one factor that was common – their batting. Despite having an experienced and explosive batting unit, the Knights could not score as well as they’d have liked and a lot of that could be attributed to the fact that not many of their players had played the game in recent times.

Against the Firebirds, they managed to put just 148 runs on the board with Tim Seifert top-scoring for them. Apart from Seifert, however, there was no one in the Knights’ top-order who managed to take the attack to the opposition.
