Match Preview

When you have a game under your control, you can’t afford to let it slip away. The Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) would have realised that the hard way having thrown away the games against the Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Rajasthan Royals (RR). Losses in those two games clearly left them perplexed, made them question their team combinations and forced them to try out too many players – thereby upsetting the stability. Since then, they have struggled to find the winning momentum. With only one win from 6 games, things seem to be slipping out their control.

Weather Report & Pitch Condition

The temperature would be around 35 degrees Celsius for the first two hours of play and will definitely test the team batting second. As the evening progresses, the temperature is expected to come down but the high humidity levels will still test the players.

The track at this venue is pretty much the same throughout the course of the 40 overs. However, since it slows down by a slight margin in the second half, chasing big totals gets tricky. It is important for the chasing teams to get a great start if they are to be successful.
