Weather Report & Pitch Condition

The weather in Dubai on Wednesday will be clear and the chances of rainfall are zero. The temperature will be hovering around the 28 to 30 degree Celsius mark.

Pitch Condition/Report:

What started off as pitches in the UAE that supported the teams batting first, making it the first choice for the captains winning the toss, are getting slower match by match. These pitches have become more of chasing friendly now and will be expected to be more helpful for the batsmen batting in the second innings of the match.

Average first innings score:

152 (Last five Indian T20 League matches at this venue)

Record of the chasing teams:

Won – 3, Lost – 1, Tie – 1 (Last five Indian T20 League matches at this venue)

KOL vs BLR Top Picks

  • Eoin Morgan: Handed the Kolkata captaincy and has scored 39* and 34 in his last two matches in IPL 2020. He has hit 248 runs despite being down the order.
  • Shubman Gill: Moved beyond the 300-run mark for the season with his 36 last time out. He scored 34 when these teams last met too.
  • Andre Russell: Not hit his usual heights this season but to write Dre Russ off would be dangerous – he can still be key with bat and ball and he has something to prove after his final over last time out.
  • Virat Kohli: Since the turn of the month, the Indian icon has been at his very best. He has scored 72*, 43, 90*, 33*, 48 and 43 in his last six innings.
  • AB de Villiers: Smashed 73* when these teams last met and his late hitting – scoring 55* last time out – means he now has four half-centuries this season.
  • Chris Morris: Claimed a brilliant 4-26 last time out to move to nine wickets in his four appearances so far. He took 2-17 when these teams last met.

Dream 11 IPL 2020

The tournament is set to kick off with a blockbuster clash, with the defending champions Mumbai Indians locking horns with three-time winners and the runners-up of the last edition, Chennai Super Kings.

The 53-day tournament will consist of 10 double-headers and will be played in the bio-secure environment of the UAE behind closed doors.

The IPL will take place across the three venues in the United Arab Emirates- Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. The Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi will host 20 round-robin games including the tournament opener, while Dubai and Sharjah will play host to 24 and 12 games respectively.Earlier, BCCI Chief Sourav Ganguly stated that the IPL 2020 schedule will be released on September 4, 2020, in an interview to ABP News.

“We understand schedules are delayed. It is almost on the verge of getting final and should be released by Friday”, said Ganguly.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) Chairman Brijesh Patel informed that the IPL Governing Council is proposed to meet after 24 July to chalk out the final details and schedule of IPL 2020.
