Weather Report & Pitch Condition

Nothing much changes in terms of the weather in Dubai. But the temperatures are expected to drop below 30 degrees Celsius at around 10 PM and should provide the players with a slight amount of relief.

Pitch Condition/Report:

Chasing has been quite challenging in Dubai. In 12 matches here thus far, only twice the chasing teams got over the line while two games finished in a tie. The pitch has got something on offer for everyone. Batsmen should spend some time out in the middle before playing the big shots.

Average first innings score:

179 (Thus far at this venue in the tournament)

Record of chasing teams:

Won – 2, Lost – 8, Tied – 2

SRH vs CSK Top Picks

Faf du Plessis is the highest run-scorer for CSK with 307 runs from 7 games at an average of 61 and a strike rate of 148. He also has three fifties in the tournament.

David Warner has been working hard initially in his innings and has been getting the starts. However, he hasn’t been able to bat through the 20 overs and get big scores. His highest score of 60 is indicative of it. He scored 275 runs thus far.

Jonny Bairstow missed out in the last game but has scored 257 runs from 7 matches thus far. He registered three fifties already in the tournament.

Shane Watson has blown hot and cold so far in the tournament. But the opener can make it big if he gets going. He scored 199 runs with the bat thus far.

Rashid Khan is doing a fabulous job with the ball for SRH. In 7 matches, the leg-spinner picked up 10 wickets and has an economy rate of just 5.03.

Manish Pandey has played the anchor for his team. Thus far, he mustered 202 runs at an average of 29. He would look to improve upon that and be more consistent from here on.

Dream 11 IPL 2020

The tournament is set to kick off with a blockbuster clash, with the defending champions Mumbai Indians locking horns with three-time winners and the runners-up of the last edition, Chennai Super Kings.

The 53-day tournament will consist of 10 double-headers and will be played in the bio-secure environment of the UAE behind closed doors.

The IPL will take place across the three venues in the United Arab Emirates- Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. The Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi will host 20 round-robin games including the tournament opener, while Dubai and Sharjah will play host to 24 and 12 games respectively.Earlier, BCCI Chief Sourav Ganguly stated that the IPL 2020 schedule will be released on September 4, 2020, in an interview to ABP News.

“We understand schedules are delayed. It is almost on the verge of getting final and should be released by Friday”, said Ganguly.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) Chairman Brijesh Patel informed that the IPL Governing Council is proposed to meet after 24 July to chalk out the final details and schedule of IPL 2020.
