Team India are always known to produce exceptional players. Either the batsmen or the varieties in bowling line-ups, the Men in Blue have always dug out the professionals and cricket freaks.

The side always makes impressive performance in the World Cup group matches bu suffers defeat in the last and final stages. The scenario is hurting strength and captaincy for so long as they aren’t managing to win the World Cups despite their bombastic performances.

In World Cup 2019, the side won almost all of the group matches but lost to New Zealand by 18 runs in the semifinals.

For this reason, Sourav Ganguly thinks that the World Cups are about winnings although team India have potent players, BCCI needs to hold a meeting along with the team captain, Kohli, to determine the lying flaws in order to overcome them in the final stages.

“We will (win). In England, we played well, we lost the important game. The World Cups are like that. We played exceptionally well in 2003 and lost the final. That’s what the World Cup is.

“Yeah, I am in touch with them. I have spoken to the captain a couple of times. I am in touch with the NCA head. Players are also very worried because the numbers are so high. The captain comes from Mumbai where it’s an absolute nightmare at the moment. So it’s quite natural that he will be a little worried. All of us are,” said Ganguly.

Further adding, the president believes if IPL pauses, every other cricket related activities will suffer.

“It’s applicable to everything. Domestic cricket is still fine. Even if you delay it by 2 months, it doesn’t make that sort of a difference but if you’re delaying international cricket, the FTPs and the IPL, every cycle goes for a toss. The World Test Championship goes for a toss, the ODI championship goes for a toss, so everything changes,” said the current BCCI president.
