In the ongoing version of the Quaid e Azam trophy, Sarfaraz Ahmed has been fined thirty-five percent of his match fees after usage of some inappropriate sentences during the match. He was noticed using inappropriate language on Sunday when Sindh played its match against Northern.

According to the match referees, Sarfaraz repeatedly made those slang comments that go against the policies of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The umpires Faisal Afridi and Saqib Khan have charged him according to article 2.21 of the code of conduct by PCB for violating the rules.

Sindh captain has pleaded to he doings and accepted the sanction in the match conference. His team, however, ranks second on the points table. Out of two matches played, Sindh has won one and lost the other.

Earlier, in the National T20 Cup, he powered his team to the semi-finals but lost in the hands of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). Sindh did not have a sound start but won four consecutive matches later to make it to the end-stage but lost before featuring in the final.
