Match Preview

The Rajasthan Royals were highly dominant in the first two games they played in Sharjah. However, in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the team bagged big losses in their last two matches. Both the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) completely influenced these games and didn’t give RR a chance. For them, it is important to get a knack of these conditions sooner rather than later. Otherwise, they would be finding themselves in a tough spot right after the first half of the tournament.

Weather Report & Pitch Condition

The temperature will be around 31 degrees at the start and will slightly cool down as the game progresses. However, it could feel a little hotter than it actually is with no strong winds blowing around. There won’t be a significant change in the humidity levels.

With the pitches slowing down considerably, the short boundaries haven’t helped the batsmen. There is some swing on offer with the new ball at this venue.

KOL vs KXIP Top Picks

  • Sunil Narine: Back in the team and straight back to his best form. He batted down the order but still smashed 64 from 32 deliveries.
  • Shubman Gill: Needs to get back to his best scoring form, but he does lead the batting charts for the Knight Riders with 321 so far.
  • Pat Cummins: Proved why he was so sought after when he got back to his best with 3-17 last time out – more of that and Kolkata’s results will continue to improve.
  • KL Rahul: Added another 27 runs at the top of the order last time out to move to 567 for the season and stay well clear in the race for the Orange Cap.
  • Nicholas Pooran: Producing several key innings , which continued with a more patient approach last time out. He averages 40.87 and has a strike rate of 173.01.
  • Mohammed Shami: Chris Jordan was the bowling start last time out, but Shami – who claimed his 17th wicket – has been the more consistent option.

Dream 11 IPL 2020

The tournament is set to kick off with a blockbuster clash, with the defending champions Mumbai Indians locking horns with three-time winners and the runners-up of the last edition, Chennai Super Kings.

The 53-day tournament will consist of 10 double-headers and will be played in the bio-secure environment of the UAE behind closed doors.

The IPL will take place across the three venues in the United Arab Emirates- Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. The Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi will host 20 round-robin games including the tournament opener, while Dubai and Sharjah will play host to 24 and 12 games respectively.Earlier, BCCI Chief Sourav Ganguly stated that the IPL 2020 schedule will be released on September 4, 2020, in an interview to ABP News.

“We understand schedules are delayed. It is almost on the verge of getting final and should be released by Friday”, said Ganguly.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) Chairman Brijesh Patel informed that the IPL Governing Council is proposed to meet after 24 July to chalk out the final details and schedule of IPL 2020.
