Amazon Warriors sent Brandon King and Chandrapaul Hemraj to bat first against the Knight Riders. Amazon Warriors’ Brandon King lost his wicket in the 3rd over of the match for just 12 runs of 11 balls. After losing Brandon King, Chandrapaul Hemraj and Shimron Hetmyer provided the Amazon Warriors with a solid foundation with their 98 runs partnership.

Chandrapaul Hemraj scored 66 runs off 42 balls for 6 fours and 4 sixes, while Shimron Hetmyer made 48 runs off 38 balls by hitting 4 fours and a six. Towards the end of their innings, Romario Shepherd of the Amazon Warriors pushed his team’s total to 185 runs with his quick-hitting. Romario Shepherd’s innings of 32 runs off just 13 balls at the last minute give Amazon Warriors the boost they needed, towards the end.

Trinbago Knight Riders’ innings against Guyana Amazon Warriors:

Trinbago Knight Riders required 186 runs off 120 balls to win the match against Guyana Amazon Warriors. Lendl Simons and Mark Deyal opened the game for the Knight Riders. Kieron Pollard and Darren Bravo made the chase of 186 runs look possible after the early collapse of wickets for the Knight Riders, but even their efforts were in vain as the Knight Riders fell 20 runs short from victory. The Trinbago Knight Riders finished on 166 runs for 5 wickets after 20 overs, resulting in a 19 runs victory for the Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Chris Green bowled brilliantly as he took 2 wickets by conceding only 18 runs in his 4 overs at the economy rate of 4.50. Imran Tahir also took 2 wickets, while the Amazon Warrior’s captain Shoaib Malik took 1 wicket against the Knight Riders.

Romario Shepherd was awarded “Player of the Match” for his undefeated 32 runs off 13 balls towards the end of the Amazon Warriors’ innings, pushing them to a total of 185 runs in their 20 overs.

Guyana Amazon Warriors win over Trinbago Knight Riders in the 27th match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2019 secured them the top spot in the tournament’s points table with 16 points. The Amazon Warriors have now won 8 out of 8 matches in this year’s Caribbean Premier League.
