Match Preview

hennai’s mistakes on the field were the major reason in their defeat against Delhi. However, they are looking good with the bat but would expect their bowlers to be more consistent in terms of taking wickets. On paper, they would like to continue with the same combination and register a win in Abu Dhabi.

On the other side, Rajasthan is placed second from bottom place in the points table and are coming off yet another loss in Dubai. Their mismanagement with the combination is one of the reasons they are here in this situation. Steven Smith had a good game with the bat and it must be a big relief for the team by looking at the tough route ahead of them.

Playing Robin Uthappa as an opener worked out for them but pushing Buttler down the order backfired. Their bowling has been the best thing in the last few games but they failed to stop AB masterclass. However, they look to be one of the most balanced sides on paper and could be an unstoppable team if they get their tactics right in the remainder of the season.

CSK vs RR Top Picks

  • Faf du Plessis – Faf du Plessis played a brilliant inning against CSK and looked a man that’s hungry for runs. He can be backed to score big runs against a toothless Rajasthan bowling
  • Ambati Rayudu : Rayudu, just like Faf has been in terrific form of later and is expected to come good against Rajasthan Royals.
  • Shane Watson – Shane Watson, in the last three games seem to be getting his mojo back. Though he hasn’t played a big knock. One would assume that a big inning is just right the corner.
  • Sanju Samson: Sanju Samson started the tournament with a bang but has been quiet in the last few games. He however, is a class player and will be an integral part of RR’s batting against CSK
  • Ben Stokes – Ben Stokes knock of 41 against Delhi showed that he’s in great form. He definitely missed out with the bat against RCB but he’s a match winner on his day and will be eager to help his team get back to winning ways.
  • Jofra Archer – Jofra Archer has been thrilling for Rajasthan in the bowling department. He’s spitting venom with his bowling and will be hoping for a stellar show against CSK
