In the sixth match of the inaugural edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL 2020), Kandy Tukser’s bowler, Naveen ul Haq of Afghanistan was spotted continually abusing Galle Gladiators’ Mohammad Amir from Pakistan.

The videos went viral as the incident took place when Amir was on the crease facing Naveen’s over. Later, when the match ended in Tuskers’ favor, Gladiators’ Shahid Afridi was spotted asking Naveen furiously that “Kia Hua (what happened)”.

In reply, Afghanistan’s lad was once again seen arguing with Afridi, and people, since then, have criticized Naveen a lot terming him as an ill-mannered player.

As of now, replying to Sky Sports cricket, Afridi has reported what message he gave to the recondite bowler.

“My advice to the young player was simple, play the game and don’t indulge in abusive talk. I have friends in the Afghanistan team and we have very cordial relations. Respect for teammates and opponents is the basic spirit of the game.” Tweeted him.
